You can use the following job description as a guide to the tasks associated with the Diagnostic Engineering roles:

  • Planning and coordination of diagnostics development tasks (holistic diagnostics, error correction concepts, etc.)
  • Collaboration with engineering departments and suppliers (Identifying and determining requirements, test procedures and project status', etc.)
  • Aiding in the setup of E/E architecture and vehicle networking (BroadR-Reach-Ethernet, CAN (-FD))
  • Setting up and carrying out system and integration testing
  • Coordinating and documenting remote services
  • Participation in the selection of components, subsystems and entire vehicle in accordance to diagnostic areas

Job requirements

  • Several years of experience of relevant automotive development processes
  • Completed studies in electrical engineer, automotive engineering, communications engineering, system engineering or similar
  • Strong experience in automotive electronic and mechatronics systems and architectures
  • Secure knowledge of common vehicle bus systems (CAN, LIN, MOST, FlexRay)
  • Experienced in the use of diagnostic standards (ODX, UDS, OTX, UDS, KWP, ) and relevant diagnostic software (e.g. CANdela, CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape)
  • Good understanding of remote services such as OTA updates and remote diagnostics
  • High problem solving capabilities both independently as well as within a team
  • Structed work approach with a hands-on mentality
  • Very good knowledge of German and English
