Requirements Engineer Embedded Systems (f/m/d)


Requirements management for electrical/electronic components and systems in automotive applications, especially in the area of motor inverters for air-conditioning circuits.

  • Support and further development of the complete requirements engineering process in close coordination with the specialist departments of the development team and the quality department.
  • Elaboration of the system specifications taking into account the requirements of the overall system
  • Methodical support for product developers
  • Maintenance and evaluation of requirements management database data (such as DOORS, Polarion, PTC Integrity, etc.)
  • Participation in meetings and coordination of requirements with other departments (interdisciplinary cooperation), external partners and customers
  • Documentation of actions, measures and decisions relating to requirements management
  • Support of sales and project management in the preparation of quotations
  • Customer presentations

Job requirements

  • Completed university studies in electrical engineering, computer science or comparable education
  • Several years of professional experience in HW and SW development in the automotive ECU sector as well as at least 2 years of professional experience in requirements engineering.
  • Very good knowledge of requirements analysis and requirements engineering
  • Very good knowledge of the methodology for structuring and implementing requirements databases and their practical application using requirements management SW tools
  • Very good knowledge in the representation of processes and procedures with common modelling techniques (especially UML/SysML)
  • Solid knowledge of relevant SW development processes (especially ASPICE)
  • Knowledge of functional safety (ISO26262) desirable
  • Strong team spirit, initiative and flexibility
  • Confident in both English and German (spoken and written)
