We are currently looking for our client in Kusterdingen for a
Design Engineer (m/f/d) for Design Components

• Responsible for design plastic parts in the development of eBike drive units

• Focus on aesthetic appearance, robustness, and industrialization

• Support of components from A-sample to series production

• Responsible for tolerance analysis, component design, drawing derivation, documentation, and coordination with the supplier

• Commissioning of validation samples and tests, interpretation of test results, and derivation of improvement measures

• Consideration of schedule, quality, and cost targets

• Collaboration in a cross-functional project team

• Completed university degree (Master's/Diploma/PhD) in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering with a focus on product development, design engineering, or a comparable field of study

• Knowledge in the development of visible plastic parts (freeform surfaces Class A)

• Experience in supplier management

• Solid experience in the development of plastic components and the associated manufacturing technology of plastic injection molding

• Excellent knowledge of the CAD tool ProE/Creo as well as MS Office

• Open and communicative personality

• Creative, independent, consistent, and structured working style

• Willingness to travel occasionally for business trips (1–2 times per year)

• Fluent in German and English
