We are currently looking for our client in Kusterdingen for a

Design Engineer (m/f/d) for Plastic and Die-Cast Components

• Responsibility for components made of plastic and die-cast materials in the development of eBike drive units

• Particular focus on robustness, service life, NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness), and industrialization

• Supervision of components from A-sample to series release

• Tolerance analysis, component design, drawing derivation, documentation, and coordination with suppliers

• Commissioning of validation samples and tests, interpretation of test results, and derivation of improvement measures

• Consideration of deadlines, quality, and cost targets

• Collaboration in a cross-functional project team

• Completed university degree (Master/Diploma/PhD) in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering with a focus on Product Development, Design Engineering, or a comparable field

• Excellent knowledge of the CAD tool ProE/Creo and MS Office

• Solid experience in the development of connectors, plastic components, and die-cast parts, as well as associated manufacturing technologies such as stamping, drawing, bending, plastic injection molding, die casting, and bolting

• Experience in supplier management

• Open-minded, communicative, creative, independent, determined, and structured

• Willingness to travel occasionally for business (approx. 1–2 times/year)

• Fluent in German and English
